Originating from India and Southeast Asia, Danios, Minnows and Rasboras are closely related. These fish are active, and are by nature a schooling fish, and at times, can be quite timid. In the wild Danios and Rasboras are exposed to a number of seasonal changes, which suites Danios, Minnows and Rasboras perfectly for a wide range of aquarium water conditions. Some are found in higher-altitude areas where they live in moving water, which means that if the aquarium they will need well-filtered, and oxygenated water. The other type are found in low-lying swamps, ditches, and rice fields, which means that the aquarium water parameters are not critical.
